We are happy to announce the release of Update 1.50 to our Mac players. The update contains two community created maps; Wake Island 2142 by The Sir. Community (www.sircommunity.com) and Operation Shingle by Jason Brice (www.MGXCLAN.com).

To install this update on your Mac just follow this simple guide:

1) Click on one of the links provided to download the Patch

A bunch of shooter fans have brought back Battlefield 2142 with project Revive, releasing it for free online and letting players take part in the game's signature, 64-player sci-fi battles. Battlefield 2142 is set in 2142, during a new ice age, depicting a war known as 'The Cold War of the 22nd Century', in which two military superpowers – the European Union (EU) and Pan Asian Coalition (PAC) – battle for the remaining unfrozen land during a new Ice Age. • Firefox users will have the patch download to their desktop
• Safari Users will need to click the magnifying glass icon next to the download to ‘show in finder’ (This takes you to the location of the downloaded file)

2) Double Click on the Patch ‘Battlefield2142-485and941A-to-1512’

3) Click on ‘open’ if you see a warning about opening a file downloaded from the internet

4) The Patcher will open your applications folder with Battlefield 2142 highlighted. Click the ‘update’ button to patch the game

• Columns/Command Center/Refugee Camp flags cannot be capped from a level below their locations.

• Battle Walkers no longer do the MOONWALK on spawn

• minculldistance has been removed

Awesome news for the Battlefield fans! Battlefield 2142 (DVD version) has been added to Porting Kit and works awesome using the profile offered by battlefieldsingleplayer.com! This way you can play offline single player! Tested the game for 30 minutes without issues! Enjoy!

The year is 2142 and the dawn of a new Ice age has thrown the world into a panic. The soil not covered by ice can only feed a fraction of the Earth’s population. The math is simple and brutal: some will live, most will die. In Battlefield 2142™, players choose to fight for one of two military superpowers – the European Union or the newly formed Pan Asian Coalition -in an epic battle for survival. Armed with a devastating arsenal of hi-tech weaponry, including assault rifles, cloaking devices and sentry guns, players will also take control of the most lethal vehicles known to man.

Because online services are down, in order to play the game you need to add a profile to your documents folder. Download the profile offered by battlefieldsingleplayer.com, up here… and move the Battlefield 2142 profile folder to your documents folder. Now when you launch the game you will have the option for offline play and can play single player games and normally also multiplayer using LAN or Hamachi (not tested).
